History of ComputerTV
- ComputerTV originally launched as ‘TigerTV’ in 2006 as an experimental project. Soon thereafter several video hosts were hired and daily production began in our Miami studio. Daily ‘Deal of the Day’ specials were on the TigerDirect homepage throughout the second half of 2007 offering unique daily video content and product information with very special offers. In January 2008, ‘CompUSA TV’ was launched after the Systemax acquisition of CompUSA, providing uniquely branded content for the CompUSA.com website. In October 2008, ComputerTV was ‘re-launched’ under it’s new brand to provide for better syndication and distribution of our content. In May 2009, ComputerTV content launched on Circuit City’s website, further expanding the reach of ComputerTV videos.
- 2009 brings a new era at ComputerTV with higher-quality production, wider content distribution, expanded programming offerings and retail content production. ComputerTV will be hosting recurring educational and tutorial seminars at CompUSA stores throughout the country – and national live interactive broadcasts through our affiliate broadcast partners.
