Karl Magnus Troedsson, executive producer of Battlefield announced today, "When Battlefield: Bad Company 2 ships in March, it will deliver the best online multiplayer experience ever."

EA states that Bad Company 2 will ship with 15  Single & Multi player vehicles along with 46 customizable vehicles and of course, destructive environment.

DICE's Battlefield:Bad Company 2 will ship for PC, Playstation 3, and xbox360.

Battlefield developer DICE has announced that despite the original predictions that Battlefield: Bad Company 2 would make release this year before the holidays, it has been bumped till March of 2010. It is believed that part of the decision to move the title to March has more to do with the release of Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 2, which will be released this holiday season, and a belief that other FPS titles released in the same time frame are likely to suffer sales problems.

According to the press conference today at GamesCon in Germany, DICE is on track to deliver Bad Company 2 on March 2nd, 2010 in North America and March 5th, 2010 in Europe. DICE was not clear if all three versions, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC would be released at the same time or not.

Demos shown today included the introduction of what DICE is calling the Destruction 2.0 technology, which has been incorporated into the Frostbite engine that has been powering recent Battlefield offerings. The new micro destruction mechanic allows the chipping away at the cover bit by bit and watching it collapse or be destroyed.

Many were hopeful that DICE would have more to say about the future of the recently released Battlefield: 1943 and the possibility of new content for the download only title, but no such announcement was made. DICE did, however, acknowledge the strong sales of the title which is currently only available for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 console platforms.

Also, although previously leaked to the media, no mention was made about the development of Battlefield 3 which is also currently in development at DICE. It is expected that DICE will make a formal announcement of Battlefield 3 next year at the E3 conference, according to our sources.

Edit: New information added thanks to Andy.

I've been waiting for the Bad Company Seires to port onto PC for quite some time, it's a shame Bad Company 1 wasn't on PC but i guess this time around the experience will be alot better than the first

i was speaking from POV that i'd played it on the Xbox and that the second game along with graphical & gameplay improvements and being ported onto PC, it would be better than playing on the console

Even Battlefiled 1943 is on my purchase list. After the round is over, the map looks like a real battlefield.

apparently it won't be available until march next year (I won't start a new topic, i'll just post here)
