EPIC FAIL(On My Part)
It was Socket 754!! I'm a complete tool....
Bidding on another one. Maybe 2 HTPCs? With the 2 semprons? I'll struggle to find a socket 754 mobo these days but oh well. It will all go in my spares box.

I thought of a few things 1st thought, I thought is Was a faulty PSU that would over vold for some reason, 2nd motherboard because of the non-post(I wouldn't think its mobo) 3rd and most likely the ram. Must have been damaged (DOA) or when you were placing it in the 1st time, and if you bought your stuff from ebay, That's just not a smart idea, for pc parts that is. If you had more components you could just keep switching it out until you find the one that's not working.

Well the box for the memory wasn't damaged. And what are the chance of both sticks being dead. Ive switched them between slots and still nothing. I just won the bid for the AM2 sempron and my fingers are crossed that this is the problem. Maybe it is the PSU though. When i first powered it up there was a slight but noticeable burning smell. I thought this was just due to it being brand new and being powered up for the first time. I'll try another one tomorrow.
EDIT: I didn't buy ANY of the original parts from ebay, Just the 2 semprons that I got for troubleshooting.

It's the best way to test if the power supply is functional or not, you take a paperclip and connect the 'on' switch on the 24 pin plug to a ground also on the 24 pin plug.
So basically, how the motherboard turns a power supply on is it sends a little signal to one of the connectors on the 24 pin motherboard connector, the PSU receives this, then turns on. So basically, by using a paperclip you can simulate the motherboard turning the PSU on without it actually being hooked to the motherboard. To do it (there are guides online) you need to find a grounded wire on the 24 pin connector, and connect it to the 'power' connector on the 24 pin. As long as the paperclip is completing the circuit between the two, the power supply stays on.
