Play the map shipment and run facing and be against the containers in cod4 you will see the lines on it won't catch up with one another with v-sync off.

If you have the hardware horizontal tear is no longer a problem. the command for Call of duty games is /com_maxfps _____  . Now the tearing issue, On COD4 I can get 250-350FPS on maximum setting after setting the maxfps to roughly 375 but what I am getting at is that the tearing is no longer a problem at those fast frame rates because the frame switches out too fast a and infact it looks excelent. 120, 200, 250+ are good frame rates for the tearing to disappear but anything above 120 will do it too. Just remember to turn off Vsync and when you have sli or crossfire you should turn on alternate frame rendering so that each card renders one frame and the next card does the next and so on and so forth. Hope this helps.
