hey,
Is there a difference between (DDR3) memories in relation to intel vs AMD?

because i have been trying to pick out my memory for my computer(msi 790fx gd70, AMD phenom II 695 BE, corsair hx850, and soon to be a Hd 5870. But on my search for memory i noticed something

http://www.komplett.ie/k/ki.aspx?sku=499165
(or more importantly what it says) "Corsair Dominator GT DDR3 1600MHz 4GB
Kit w/2x 2GB XMS3 modules, CL7-7-7-20, 1.65V, for AMD Phenom II, 240pin

and
http://www.komplett.ie/k/ki.aspx?sku=492622
"Corsair Dominator GT DDR3 2000MHz 4GB
Kit w/2x 2GB XMS3 modules, CL8-8-8-24, Fan, for Core i5 and i7, 1.65V"

I no there is a split with the triple channel memory ETC
but besides timing(and clock speed obviously) in this case is there any difference?
Or do AMD and Intel only work on different timings?

Thanks in advance
Patrick

DDR3 as long as it's dual channel, works for both AMD and Intel.

As a word of advice, the tighter the timings the better, you could use that 1600mhz RAM(and you should b/c of the better timings) on the intel set if you wanted to.

As Elton said, either one will work.

That was bad wording, all it meant was that the RAM would work on both sets, just get the 1600mhz one since the timings are better.
