I plan to upgrade my case from the Antec 900 to the Coolermaster CM690 Advance 2 case and was wonder if the windowed side panel that you can buy seperate for the original 690 fit on it?

Probably not, the 690II is quite different, plus that side fan helps your GPU temps.

I don't think it's compatible with the CM690II, give it some time and they'll release one, just like they did for the ATCS840.

The windowed side panel for the 690 II isn't shipping yet in the U.S. but it's started to ship in Canada, so it shouldn't take to long to get to the U.S. Worst case scenario is you buy the 690 II now and get the side panel in a month or two.
Also, it'll probably cost about $20.

Looks notwithstanding the 690 II is generally a better chassis. It's got better airflow (especially if you fill most of the fan slots) and it's got more features.
