First, why would you ever take the stock one over the custom cooler? You may not like how it looks, but it cools FAR, FAR better (I've seen it beat Sapphire's Vapor-X) and it OCs like you wouldn't believe.

To answer your question, yes, they both support MSI's Afterburner, but no, a Sapphire card would not.

Way I see it, once it's inside you're barely gonna be able to see the resemblance to the bat-mobile, so it's not worth getting worked up over the looks.

BTW, AWESOME PIC!

I'd go with that cheap 1slot version made by HIS.

Yes you lose out on the extra connectivity, but hey, it's not like you'll be doing eyefinity on that card anyways.

Plus it's a full $25 cheaper.

But it lacks the Hawk's epic cooler and doesn't OC as well.

Oddly, the deal isn't in place anymore.

And the regular HD5770 can get some epic OC's as it is.

you think there will be competition at around the same price range as the 5850? from Nvidia? that will be hopefully a better buy then the ATI cards?

Not competition, but prices will drop anyhow just to spite Nvidia.

Not to mention the HD5850 prices are obscene again thanks to rising GDDR5 price.
