im need of some advice.....
is the ATI 5870,and the 5970...better than Nvidias 285, and 295?...
im building a rig and im not sure which ones to go with.im going sli or crossfire them..
once i decide which ones to go with..
also if i do go with nvidia,would it be a good idea to have a dedicated phisx card to support the other two?..
im putting an Asus 3way motherboard and im leaning towards the i7 975 extreme oc by 10% and a very good cooling system...if some one could help me decide that great...thanx guys!!!!

Go with a 5870 or 5970, the 5870 is as powerful as a 295 and has newer features such as DX11.
If you want the best performance go with 2 5970's

HD5850, it tops the GTX285, and it takes less power.
If you're patient you can grab a Fermi card in a few months.

Or grab the 5xxx cards then at a discount. Right now they're overpriced (IMO) and they're almost certain to drop on Fermi's releases.

well, April is the start of the GPUs production, cards should arrive around mid may, but ATI said they'll have to next series out by the end of this year, looks like ATI will overlap Nvidia
