I love hardwarecanucks reviews. They're done very professionally and IMO much better than 3dgameman's.

Well, I'll believe it for two reasons:

They gave a definite launch date (Pax '10) and;
They gave a definite launch date very close to now.

BTW, yeah, HWC is basically the best reviewing site on the tubes. They're by far the most professional and thorough.

Okay apparently the voltages were too low. I use Asus's SmartDoctor and upped the voltages to around 1.26V. I currently have the core at 975 and memory 1175. Time to test it out on BC2, L4D2, Crysis Warhead, Bioshock 2, anything I can throw at it.

Update: Okay I've upped the v-core a little bit more to around 1.3V.

Now I have the core at 1.04Ghz and the memory 1251Mhz as shown here:


These 5850s are great overclockers!

I'll wait for Fermi, they'll come out soon.

Once they do I'll be all over that HD5850..

Or that GTX470.

Screw it, I'll just wait a bit longer until the HD4850s are EOLed then I'll buy myself a HD5870.

if anything the HD 6xxx or 7xxx series will be DX11.1 or 11.1b etc, DX12 is more likely tob be a Windows 8 thing
