well the only AMD USB 3.0 boards are the new 8 series chipsets e.g. 890GX) which suport USB 3.0 and SATA 3.0, but they are AM3/DDR3 boards, there won't be any AM2+/DDR2 boards with the 8 series chipset
Not true. There are some 7xx boards supporting USB 3 and SATA III, but not natively. Still, I don't think there would be any AM2/+ boards supporting them.
yeah with the help of a USB 3.0 & SATA 3.0 card in a PCie slot, you can use the new 3rd generation in the 2nd generation ports on the board but you won't get full bandwidth and there'll be a few features disabled on the 3rd generation hardware
