Palm Pre with WinMo 6.5 Video Demo
Palm surprised me with this one a little bit – first of all it’s not their own o/s (aren’t they software people now?), which I provide them kudos for finally throwing in the towel, and secondly cause it’s so pretty. The only thing is that I believe that Palm still focused too much on applications related to contact management, schedules and such and should have been providing ease of extensibility (even though their “app store” is also forthcoming) and customization by the user.
What do you think about WinMo? Are you an Android lover? Let us know in the comments below.

You need to change the title of this video. The Palm Pre runs their Web OS, not Windows Mobile.

[..YouTube..] Eventhough the device keeps changing our ability at communication stays the same.
February 16th, 2009 at 9:54 am
[..YouTube..] First off, this wasn’t a “live” video, it was a presentation, so it may not be as smooth when actually running the software.
Also, it’s quite easy to do this on Windows mobile and it always has been.
This isn’t anything new… it’s just a different UI.

[...] Palm Pre with WinMo 6.5 Video Demo This is one hot number – or so it looks in this preview Pre video. WinMo 6.5 – pretty hot too! (tags: palm pre windows mobile winmo computertv) [...]

[..YouTube..] The simple fact that the Palm Pre has a capacitive touchscreen means that when using your finger, it will control better than Windows Mobile.
Microsoft really needs to make Windows Mobile support capacitive screens. This is urgent.

If anyone is seriously interested in developing applications for webOS (not WinMo
for the Pre, a couple of us have set up a new site dedicated exclusively to webOS application development. We’ll be adding new tutorials and resources to it regularly as new information becomes available from Palm. Check it out here:
http://www.weboshelp.net
We encourage you to visit and post about what features and information you want to see, as we plan to evolve the site based primarily on user feedback.

[..YouTube..] they dont care if its boring, they are getting across the idea that it is super simple to do stuff within seconds on it, i personally prefer the look, its small. alot of phones are getting bigger, you cant say iphone fits in your hand lol.
February 25th, 2009 at 1:02 pm
[..YouTube..] small? I like this, but it seems kinda fat and big. And if its too small, its probably going to be difficult to use the qwerty! or am I wrong?
March 24th, 2009 at 8:44 am
[..YouTube..] how much is it?
April 2nd, 2009 at 9:45 am
[..YouTube..] I’m liking the new webOS.. but in this video.. you still have to input all the info in the calendar.. Some ppl do I guess.. Busy busy busy
April 2nd, 2009 at 9:51 am
[..YouTube..] Voice over is very LAME!
April 7th, 2009 at 7:03 am
[..YouTube..] If you want to know more about this phone, add this guy on facebook:
Mathias Skillingstad
He has a test version. Just add him. He is a nice guy.
April 7th, 2009 at 6:49 pm
[..YouTube..] they need to cut this marketing concept and start over. I might even prefer the Seinfeld / Gates commercial over this. Phone looks promising, this vid and voice over kill it.
April 8th, 2009 at 12:38 am
[..YouTube..] why is it called Pre? it doesn’t sound right!
April 10th, 2009 at 3:52 am
[..YouTube..] does it even have a youtube application?
April 17th, 2009 at 2:29 pm
[..YouTube..] I guess it’s symbolizing something. Pre is in before. Meaning there will be more awesomeness to come? That’s what I think.
April 19th, 2009 at 5:05 am
[..YouTube..] does it matter? i mean you can just enter it in the address bar
